Ignacio is currently the Associate Director for the Office of Ethnic Ministries for the Diocese of Phoenix with special emphasis on Hispanic Ministry. In this position, he works to support the three established diocesan offices of Black Catholic, Hispanic and Native American ministries as well as the other 16 known ethnic communities of the Diocese to provide pastoral care, outreach/advocacy and resources in parish and mission communities. He is also active on several diocesan and civic boards that advocate for Hispanics and other ethnic minorities. Ignacio has worked for the Diocesan Pastoral Center since 1999. He has traveled to Chiapas, Mexico to work with the Dominican Fathers that care for the indigenous catholic peoples by building chapels, celebrating Mass with the communities, visiting the local Human Rights Center and the local Center for Children in San Cristobal de las Casas. Ignacio is a graduate of Arizona State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with a concentration in Social/Cultural Anthropology. Ignacio is active in parish ministry at St. William parish in Cashion, Arizona.
